FishingBC - The Ultimate Fishing Companion
FishingBC is the official app for tidal (saltwater) fishing in British Columbia, developed by the Sport Fishing Institute of BC in partnership with Fisheries and Oceans Canada. With the support of the Pacific Salmon Foundation, this app is the ultimate tool for any angler looking to fish in these waters.
The app provides a wide range of features, including an official Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence display, up-to-date regulations (including closures and contamination areas), an updated catch log and species ID to identify and record your catch, and the ability for Certified Tidal Angling Guides (CTAG) to easily complete DFO catch log requirements. In addition, the UBC Enhanced Catch Log provides additional Chinook and Coho catch log information to University of British Columbia researchers.
The app also offers current, location-based weather forecasts, including marine synopsis, and a Historical Catch Data report. FishingBC is the ultimate fishing companion, providing all the necessary tools to make your fishing experience in British Columbia a success.
